MEKONG DELTA TOUR: CAN THO – DONG THAP (2 DAYS 1 NIGHT)

DAY 1: SAI GON – CAO LANH – SA DEC – CAN THO (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

  • Morning: Nam A Chau’s tour guide and driver will pick you up at the designated meeting point to depart for My Tho. The group will enjoy breakfast in Trung Luong (My Tho).

  • Afterwards, we continue our journey to Tram Chim National Park in Tam Nong District, Dong Thap Province. Here, you will board a traditional sampan boat to explore the wetlands:

    • Tram Chim National Park boasts pristine beauty with a rich and diverse ecosystem, home to various bird species such as herons, egrets, coucals, painted storks, sarus cranes, and other wildlife like otters and box turtles.

    • The park features a rich aquatic resource located within the 1,600-hectare Dong Thap Muoi historical eco-reserve. You can also climb the observation tower for a panoramic view of the vast cajeput forest.

    • The group will enjoy lunch featuring local specialties of Dong Thap: grilled catfish with ginger fish sauce, sour snakehead fish soup, and stir-fried celery with shrimp (seasonal menu).

  • Afternoon: The group departs for Sa Dec to visit:

    • Kien An Cung Pagoda (also known as Ong Quach Pagoda), built by Hokkien Chinese immigrants between 1924 and 1927. It features unique architecture and is recognized as a national historical and cultural relic.

    • Huynh Thuy Le Ancient House, the residence of a wealthy landlord in old Sa Dec. It is famous for the romantic love story between the owner and the French writer Marguerite Duras, which inspired her famous novel “The Lover” (later adapted into the renowned movie of the same name by director Jean-Jacques Annaud).

    • Sa Dec Flower Village, where you can take memorable photos with hundreds of colorful flowers in a Southern village with over 100 years of flower-growing tradition.

  • Late Afternoon: Head to Can Tho to check into your hotel and rest.

  • 17:30: The bus takes the group to explore Can Tho: Tay Do Night Market, Cai Khe Commercial Center, and Ninh Kieu Wharf. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant.

  • Evening: Free time to visit relatives, stroll around Ninh Kieu Wharf, enjoy coffee by the Hau River, or walk on the Ninh Kieu pedestrian bridge.

DAY 2: CAN THO – SAI GON (Breakfast, Lunch)

  • 05:00 AM: Arrive at Ninh Kieu Wharf and board a motorized boat to visit Cai Răng Floating Market to experience the bustling river commerce of the locals.

  • 07:00 AM: Return to the hotel for breakfast and check out. The bus will then take you to visit:

    • Truc Lam Phuong Nam Zen Monastery – one of the largest monasteries in the Southwestern region, constructed entirely from ironwood imported from South Africa.

    • My Khanh Tourist Village – walk through orchards of plums, mangoes, rambutan, jackfruit, and durian. Visit a nearly 100-year-old Southern ancient house and enjoy activities like rowing, crocodile fishing, horse-carriage rides, or tasting Mekong specialties such as roasted field rats or grilled snakehead fish (expenses excluded).

  • Noon: The group has lunch.

  • Afternoon: The bus takes the group back to Sai Gon, stopping at Cai Lay to buy Mekong specialties as souvenirs: Lai Vung fermented pork rolls (nem), seasonal fruits, etc. Upon arrival in Sai Gon, you will be dropped off at the original pickup point. End of tour.

  • Goodbye and see you again!

  • Transportation: Modern tourist buses (29, 35, or 45-seaters) equipped with air conditioning, TV, and a modern sound system. Experienced, polite, and attentive drivers.

  • Accommodation: 3*, 4*, or 5* standard hotel (Double/Twin sharing room – 2 guests per room).

  • Meals:

    • Breakfast: 1 dish (My Tho noodle soup, beef noodle soup, etc.) + 1 soft drink, and 1 buffet breakfast at the hotel.

    • Main meals: 3 main meals featuring rich menus with local specialties.

CHILD POLICY

  • Under 6 years old: Free of charge (parents cover meals and expenses). Note: Only 1 free child per family; the 2nd child onwards will be charged 70% of the adult price.

  • From 6 to under 11 years old: Charged 70% of the adult price.

  • From 11 years old and above: Full adult price.

BOOKING & CANCELLATION TERMS

  • Booking Information Needed: Customer’s Full Name, Phone Number, Order Code, and Departure Date.

  • Schedule Changes: Requests for changes must be made 7 days in advance. A maximum of 1 change is permitted.

  • Force Majeure: In case of objective events (natural disasters, epidemics, floods, etc.), the travel agency is not liable for any additional costs incurred other than refunding the unused services of the tour.

  • Cancellation:

    • Cancellation 7 days before departure or right after registration: No fee.

    • No-show: The booking voucher will be canceled and becomes invalid.

  • Note: The itinerary order may be rearranged to suit real-time conditions (weather, traffic, etc.) but will still guarantee all the sightseeing spots listed.
